Inspired by a day full of sunshine.
Recently I rediscovered smocking, saw it somewhere. I remembered it as something of the past, what I learned in elementary school at our Friday afternoons handcraft. And it really wasn't that much fun. It was a bit boring even... And now .... 30 years later, I can not believe I'm saying this, it makes me happy looking at it!
I just use cotton to embroider the motifs. I think it has a more rugged appearance and I like that.
